The town of Valladolid is known as one of Mexico’s “pueblos magicos” and is famous for the colonial-era ex-convent Convent of San Bernardino de Siena and the church Cathedral of San Servacio. This pueblo magico is a must-see stop when visiting the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, only about a 30-minute drive away. Though there is no beach near Valladolid, this pueblo is perfect if you want to experience culture, history, amazing food, and one of the many nearby cenotes!
