In the Mayan language, Sian Ka’an means “born from the sky” and to spend time in this nature reserve indeed feels like a gift from heaven. With endless stretches of pristine wetlands that overlap with isolated bays and inlets, coral reefs and mangrove forests, this protected area is a feast for the senses. Home to an enormous amount of biodiversity, Sian Ka'an is a UNESCO World Heritage site, occupying special status inside the "Man and the Biosphere" project - a UNESCO initiative that seeks to integrate local activities into protected areas through sustainable practices.

Each tour should be booked by paying a deposit.
In case of cancellation more than 24 hrs before the pickup, we do not charge you any cost and will give you back your deposit.
If you cancel between 24 and 12 hours before the pickup, México Kan Tours will take your deposit to pay for the costs already incurred.
In case of cancellation less than 12 hrs before the pickup or in case of a "no show," we will charge you 100% of the total amount of your tour.

Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays
7 a.m. – 8 a.m. pick up
Once we enter the reserve, we drive for approximately 40 minutes along the coastal jungle until we reach the boat dock. Please be aware that the road is unpaved and bumpy.
Laguna boat tour: explore the mangrove forests, freshwater springs and the famous Boca Paila, where the wetlands meet the sea.
Look for manatees, crocodiles, dolphins, sea turtles and more!
Visit cays with colonies of incredible birds
Snorkel in the world´s second-largest coral reef (subject to weather conditions).
Enjoy swimming in the clearest tropical water at ¨Nature's swimming pool.¨
Delicious Caribbean lunch in Punta Allen
5 p.m. – 6 p.m. Drop off (subject to traffic and hotel/villas localization).
