Scuba Diving in Akumal should be on everyone's bucket list, whether you're an experienced diver or it's your first time! Located on the world's second-largest barrier reef and home to the sea turtle nesting zone, Akumal provides epic diving for everyone! Dive sites are only 7 minutes from shore!

The price of the open-water boat dive includes an 80-cubic-foot aluminum tank, weights, locker and hot shower. We offer tanks with the Din & Yoke valve system (100 cu ft. / 80 cu ft. / 50 cu ft.). Equipment rental is not included.

If you want to dive on vacation without doing the entire course, it's possible! The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program takes place in the tranquil waters of Akumal Bay, a perfectly natural place for your first scuba experience. After 30-40 minutes in the bay under the supervision of our instructors, you will learn the basic skills that will allow you to make a dive on the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world, just 5 minutes away from the Akumal Dive Shop. In no time, you will be enjoying 40 minutes (average) underwater in the clear blue Caribbean waters, surrounded by tropical fish, turtles, eagle rays, and hard and soft corals! A dive instructor will escort you the whole time to ensure that your experience is safe and fun. *MUST be at least 10 years of age.*

This activity is weather-dependent. We may need to cancel or reschedule. In the case of cancellation by the dive shop, you will refunded 100%.
Each tour should be booked by paying a deposit.
In case of cancellation more than 24 hrs before the pickup, we do not charge you any cost and will give you back your deposit.
If you cancel between 24 and 12 hours before the pickup, México Kan Tours will take your deposit to pay for the costs already incurred.
In case of cancellation less than 12 hrs before the pickup or in case of a "no show," we will charge you 100% of the total amount of your tour.
